and let us wonder where our hearts can be free
and let us wander where we can roam and just be
where the air is fresh
and the sea is wild
where the bees are buzzing
and nothing is mild,
Where the land is alive
and the horizons vast,
where the breath is deep
and the sighs all past.
Come wonder with me…
where minds can meander,
and souls can meet
where dreams can expand
and hearts can beat
Come
come wander with me,
let us
just
Wonder…
Hello My Dear,
How long has it been since you looked up from your computer?
How long has it been since you took yourself outside?
How long has it been since you wondered…
and wandered
to no where in particular
and wondered about nothing in particular?
How long has it been since you pretended and imagined,
since you dreamed and journeyed
since you left this moment in time
and steeped yourself in moments of wonder?
How long has it been my friend
since you left this moment in time
to step outside
to step beyond
to just step -
sideways?
I know, sometimes it is way too hard to leave the house
sickness,
comittments
lack of self belief.
Sometimes it is hard to do.
Can I take your hand dear one,
Can we step outside?
Shall we walk in meadows green
where faeries come and magic has been?
Or shall I take you to the sand
where waves crash upon this white white land?
Or shall we lay and look above
and see the clouds form hearts of love?
Or shall we sit with a cup of tea
and silently watch the bumble bee?
Or maybe let us step to the side
and do a dance
waltzing style
One two three.
One two three.
One two three.
One two three.
Let us step outside dear one
Let us
go outside

Soft. Simple. Still. is a weekly-ish publication where, like gentle butterflies that land upon your hand, soft words will land in your heart for profound healing, stillness and simplicity. Thank you for sharing this publication with your community and for upgrading your own subscription.
I will be thinking of you 💭 Sam.
I don’t zoom.
To wander and wonder! I love how these two words play so beautifully together. Just change the vowel and you have a new meaning. This duo is makes the perfect dance partnership. Inviting me to step out of my agendas and plans. To open to something that might just be waiting for me, but would be missed if I did not slow down. Like the simpleness of the breath, the magic of bumble bee that you mentioned. Sam, I just simply love this offering! Thank you.
