This is so beautiful! Like Louise and Julie, most of my journeys are liminal these days. But when I do travel in the physical plane, I am a classic overpacker. I want to be sure I have everything I could possibly ever need to soothe my every anxiety (of which there are many). I'm so inspired by your ability to travel with one little pack! I see in you the capacity to feel a sense of home anywhere you are. That's remarkable indeed! Also, I loved your article about the sacred sites within!

Oh bless! Thank you for reading my post and for also reading my article about sacred sites within. I am really glad you enjoyed both.

I have an image of your over size case filled with "very special heart treasures" - things that makes your heart feel cozy and your mind feel at ease. Those things are very important. To soothe the anxiety definitely helps the travel - both inner and outer. Thanks for sharing that.

I too have special treasures that help me. In my case it's my pockets - they are filled with soul/heart treasures - stones, shells, things like that - they soothe me when I'm feeling anxious.

Thank you for sharing.

Wondrous journey Sam! I hope to travel to Scotland and Ireland sometime soon. I have such a longing to go there...Lately it has mostly been inner journeys and short physical trips to the ocean. With that said I am leaving soon to go to Utah. Home to many parks, desert lands and monuments. I have been there before. It is sacred, sacred land. Amazing how place whether inner or outer, whether inviting or challenging can shift perspectives, activate wonder and curiosity and ground me deeply into the moment.

Oh yes!!! I totally agree. Shifting perspectives, activating wonder, curiosity and more. Scotland and Ireland have done that for me and my whole family, opening more doors to travel inward and hopefully outward again. My inner journey through this physical travel has been so profound...a pilgrimage that will take time to integrate.

I hope you have a lovely time in Utah and that it gifts you many wonderful blessings for your heart and soul, mind and body.

Thank you for letting us on your journey Sam. I do much more inner travelling these days. To sacred sites, communities, rituals and ceremonies, but I do want to explore many places too. I’d actually love to see more of Scotland and Ireland as they feel so magical. You’ll have to let me know what you loved about them most. 💫🙏

Scotland and Ireland are so magical. They hold landscapes that are vast, ancient and sacred.

Scotland invites the traveller "the freedom to roam" and that is so FREE for the heart and soul, inviting one to travel to landscapes that might otherwise be "forbidden".

In Ireland there is also so much history in the land and the locals speak about this.It makes the landscapes come alive with a lore that is so so old. Folklore, folk tales, they are common here and in that commonality there is a rich culture and a rich spirituality that I love.

We stayed with friends who are now our "Irish Family." While we didn't travel far per say, we travelled in conversations and sharing. We also travelled in the local landscape where trees are ancient and the wee folk are just there in front of you, inviting or stopping, one from passing through.

Louise, there is so much to share. I am still processing it all. I will write more once I can sit with it all.
