Full Moon Blessings to you

A healing post on the power and beauty of the Full Moon.

She rises

Higher and higher
She rises.

She rises

For all to see
She rises.

Bright and full
Round and radiant
She rises.

And in her rising she illuminates and shines
for all to see
for all to bare witness
She rises.

She rises

to her magnificence
her life-force
her light
She rises.

She rises

for all to be held
to be nurtured
to be awakened
She rises.

She rises

and in her majestic beauty
she invites us all to rise

and rise

and rise.

I wonder, do you like rising up and standing strong?
Do you feel comfortable to let your light shine brightly, for all to see, for just for one moment, one hour, one day in time?
I wonder do you feel comfortable to stand tall in your physical height, with your shoulders back and your head held high to allow your full essence - mind, body, soul and spirit - to walk tall for just one moment, one hour, one day in time?

I just wonder….

Hello my dear friend,

How has your week been? I am travelling at the moment and am currently in the UK with my family. A huge wonderful trip lies ahead for us. Friends, family, new cultures, stone circles, different landscapes. I may share more in another post.

Today though I would like to sit with you and share the FULL MOON with you.

It is that time of the lunar cycle, when, by the invitation of the moon’s light we are invited to SHINE BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER, to step UP and INTO our radiance and magnificence.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the Dark Moon and spoke about the importance of going inward to sit with the Goddess of the Dark Moon in her inner cave, in her bothy, in her cabin - essentially to take the time to be quiet, reflective and inward.

And then to GENTLY come out again, as the moon turns from Dark to NEW, and to feel, like the stirrings of Spring, a new energy pulsate within you and around you.

It has been a couple of weeks since the New Moon has stirred through your body and now it is another Lunar Cycle, that of the FULL MOON, when Springtime turns to Summertime in the lunar sky, and the energies are stronger, brighter and more intense.

Before I write more about the FULL MOON, I wonder, how was the past couple of weeks for you as your light was invited to SLOWLY shine brighter and brighter each day.

Were you aware of any subtle changes in your energy?
Were you aware of any subtle changes in your mood, your expressions, your conversations?
Were you aware that you may have subtly stood taller in your posture, your conversations, your vision, even in your purpose and your relationships, over the last couple of weeks?
Were you aware of having, ever so slightly, more energy, more life-force, more space within to cultivate your thoughts and ideas?

And I wonder were you aware of how others were acting/reacting around you?
How they may have begun to stand taller, had more life-force, shone more radiantly in their own energies?

Or maybe their energies and yours clashed in your own individual growth patterns?
And my friend, how did this end up for you both?

Please do pause for a moment in reflection. Consider what you have been doing over the past couple of weeks. Consider what you have been talking about - out loud or in your mind. Consider who you have been interacting with and how has that made you feel in your heart and in the world at large.

How has the last couple of weeks taken you from the energies of the New Moon
to the energies of the Full Moon?

Sometimes, days go by without any pauses in our heart and our way of being, and when the cycle of the moon - Dark, New or Full - comes around again sometimes we “miss” the lunar changes that will always affect us, even if we do choose to ignore them.

So I invite you to take this time to reflect upon the past couple of weeks and consider all that you have experienced and felt.

It takes the Moon 28 days to become FULL.

It is a SLOW MINDFUL process.

Over the past week the moon’s light has become brighter and brighter.
If you looked up in the sky over the past week you would have seen the waxing gibbous moon and how she has grown ever so gently, ever so FULL.

Did you have any moments in your week that made you feel as though you were GROWING stronger and stronger, brighter and brighter, healthier and healthier?

This “Growing” feeling may have been something you did for yourself that made you feel bright, light and radiant. Maybe you made yourself nourishing healthy meals or did some consistent exercise, or had early nights - actions that make you feel stronger and healthier, more vibrant and alive.

Maybe it was because you spoke your truth or heard someone else’s truth in a humbling healing way that enabled both of you to heal the past and thus shine your lights in a different way for days ahead.

Maybe somebody acknowledged your work or invited you to talk or write about your vision or praised your writing, your painting, your music, your individual expression, and invited you to do more and more of that.

Maybe it might have been seeing the light of all your efforts of the past couple of weeks or even months begin to grow and flourish and shine.

THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE FULL MOONS POWER

Power.
Light.
Illumination.

Standing tall.
Shining brightly.

Being seen.
Being radiant.

Glowing brightly.
Being vibrant.

Shining light for all to see.

I wonder, do you like to just look up,
and, without knowing why you are doing so,
deeply breathe in,
at the sight of the Full Moon?

Taking a deep deep breath, that says so much more than words…

So my friend,

does the Full Moon make you feel alive and uplifted, powerful and joyous

or

does she make you feel anxious, agitated or even intimidated

or

maybe at different times,

both?

I love watching the Full Moon rise over the ocean seeing her change from orange to white as she rises higher and higher up into the sky. I love watching her rise up, her moonbeams glistening upon the waves, inviting me, in that moment in time, to walk upon her moonbeams up and up and up, into her light and into her arms.

Other times though she wakes me in the middle of the night.
I have been gently coaxed by her to get up and do a meditation, or to step outside and just look up at her beautiful light. Or I have been awoken in bed by her light and as I look through my window I talk to her in whatever way that is for my heart and soul.

And other times her energy feels like a safety blanket around me as I sleep, holding me in ways that make me feel safe, held, healed and supported.

Other times though, I feel very unsettled.

As a natural introvert I find the energy of the Full Moon sometimes too strong. Sometimes too much. Sometimes too demanding and unnerving. She in her abundant energy, in her radiant light, in her exquisite FULL POWER invites something of me that sometimes I feel as though I am unable to receive or offer back.

Am I ready to stand tall in my fullness?
Am I ready to shine my light as big and bright as she does?
Do I feel as though I have the self esteem to offer my skills, gifts and vision in a way that others can SEE and FEEL and RECEIVE in a STRONG and GENTLY POWERFUL way?

Sometimes the FULL MOON may seem too strong. Maybe her energy feels too powerful, too confronting, too big and bright and “out there.”

Maybe her energy unnerves you in a way that makes you feel agitated and ungrounded.
Maybe her energy makes you feel as though you are constantly having arguments or conversations that seem to go no where.

Maybe her energy makes you feel as though you are unable to sleep, rest or settle.

Maybe her energy increases your pain and symptoms.
Maybe her energy makes you feel as though you are being lifted up and up and up into a space of unknown yet vastly appealing territories or, vastly anxious territories.

I am also aware that the FULL MOON can and does cause friction and contention amongst people. Short tempers, agitation or a general feeling of just being unnerved by the Full Moon is common.

And yet all she is doing is shining her light.

It is as though she is shining her LIGHT into the parts of me/us that are DENSE and HEAVY, NERVOUS AND ANXIOUS.

Are we ready to let the light come into that part of us?
Are we ready to let the darkness melt so that we can feel the depth of warm light in our being?
Are we ready to let the light come into that part of us to help heal us, soothe us and hold us?

The Full Moon only lasts for such a SHORT TIME.

The days before, the day or so after, that is important to note too.

However her light is only FULLY BRIGHT FOR ONE WHOLE NIGHT.

THIS IS SO SIGNIFICANT.

Even the moon does not shine brightly ALL THE TIME.

Even the moon goes through a waning process.

How liberating that is!!!
To know that we do not have to be BRIGHT all the time,
to know that we do not have to be ON all the time
to know that we do not have to shine our light in such a VAST VAST WAY ALL THE TIME.

How liberating is that.
How natural is that.
How empowering is that.

To know we can be full when the energies are there supporting us, and then we can be inward when the energies are there supporting us too.

IT IS THIS BALANCE
MAKES OUR LIGHT SHINE NATURALLY
ALL THE TIME

So my dear friend, on this the eve of the Full Moon,

• Be kind to your heart

• Look out your window

• Step outside and look up, around and beyond

• Place your crystals under the light of the Full Moon and let the moonlight charge them

• Stand straighter and show your height and be proud of who you are

• Imagine you are walking upon the moon beams and up into her arms

• Ask her for a healing

• Imagine she is holding you and filling you up with her light and her love

• Ask her a question and sit with her as she answers you.
