Oh Julie! Thank you... Thank you for HEARING ME. It is the first time I have consciously viewed my birthday like this. Some years I feel an "Oh dear!" for the year ahead...not the getting older part, yet the energy of the year, of me, feels heavy...This year though I feel so EMPOWERED, SO ALIVE, SO FREE...I too look forward to how the sands of time affect me, how the tides affect me, how I affect myself even, and in looking forward to that I am embracing the changes that I know will happen.
I will continue to work on the decluttering, the envisioning, the letting go as I feel that at every different turn I will be asked to release, reveal, accept some thing else of me. I know there will be Guardians at certain thresholds...what will they ask of me? What will I need to stand tall in? What will I need to know?

For many years now I have done Tarot Birthday readings. I use a particular spread which has questions that each tarot card then responds to. Beforehand I do a ritual honoring my birthday, and offering gratitude and blessings for my reading. I also journal my reading as part of the integration. Then through the year I will go back and reflect. I admit I have not been as consistent with the reflections. Some years I do it more than others.

YES, I feel I have travelled so much in the last year...in all the previous years...this year feels different, it feels as though I am taking ALL of what I have learnt in all of my Pasts into this year in a way that empowers me and invites me to LIVE MY VISION to its full potential. Oh I know there will be tides that will rise me higher than my boat has been made for, yet I feel I have some more awareness, more love of self, more capacity to hold, more...more of ME to navigate those things a bit more. I am excited, Louise. Excited and feeling ALIVE.
Have you ever stopped before your orbit around the sun and consciously done a ritual or ceremony to release and thus to step forth into another journey?
Oh this year is so different as you say Sam, some of it a little more difficult to navigate than others, but you are so right. We are rising to meet the horizon and then we we finally tip over into all that we came to be. I haven't done a ritual at this time, but I will definitely consider it now. x
