Hello my dear,
Would you like to sit with me on this beautiful bench?
Friends sitting together in the sunshine
Friends sitting together
with maybe things to say
or maybe silence to share.
Will you sit with me a moment and just pause with me?
Maybe we can share and tell of something that has been worrying us,
Maybe we can share and remember someone that we have loved,
Maybe we can share and contemplate something that is yet to come…
Or maybe
just maybe,
we can just sit and pause
and be in the light and colour
and peace and shadows
and in the exquisiteness
that just pausing offers our heart and soul.
I am in a deep space of pausing at the moment.
It feels like a walking living meditation.
A heightened space of awareness
and of reality.
A surreal space
and yet a real space.
Oh yes, there are things happening around me that require my full attention, yet there is a deep sense of pausing that my heart and soul is both offering me and longing for.
Does that ever happen to you?
That while you are doing your daily activities very efficiently, on another level you are sitting on a beautiful bench in a peaceful garden, or maybe you are sitting on a cliff edge over looking an unlimited horizon, or maybe you are sitting under a big old tree
and while here
your heart and soul,
vision and dreams
creativity and zest for life
are pausing,
and resting
and just
WAITING FOR YOU.
WAITING FOR YOU
TO PAUSE
in your day to day reality
to sit with them
in the world of dreams and visions
loves and passions.
Rather than write today, I would like to offer you a meditation to listen to. I recorded this meditation last Friday night for my Friday Night Women’s Circle - F.O.L.K.S.® - Friday Nights Our Lives Connect Spiritually. This particular group have been gathering together for close to 5 years now. Some women in the group have sat in sacred circle with me with me for over 20 years.
That is something I am SO passionate about -
holding sacred circle for folk to Gather and Remember
beyond the should have’s and should be’s
beyond the facades and labels,
beyond the titles and the numbers
A safe sacred space for folk to come home
home to the innate wisdom that lives within…
This meditation is called “PAUSING.”

{In the beginning there are some scratchy sounds…see it as an invitation to honour the wriggling and scratching around we need to do before we can settle.}

The slowness and the ongoing pausing was quite relaxing! I loved picking up the pebble/stone. I do this a lot when I am visiting a place. It journeys with me while I am there and then I either give it back to the land when I leave or take it with me as a memory or as a magical piece it has become. So touching to have that included in your meditation.
