I have chosen to continue with voice-overs. The response I have received has been tremendously encouraging. Thank you. Once again, I apologise in advanced for any disturbances.
My dear dear friend,
How are you today? I just want to start by saying THANK YOU. Thank you for opening your door when I knock each Wednesday and offer you my letters. Thank you for inviting me into your home, your space, your heart.
I imagine sometimes that when you open emails or see my letter on your app1 I am sitting with you, maybe at your kitchen table or maybe in your lounge room, with a lovely cup of tea in hand. Or maybe we are walking your dog together as you listen to the voice-overs, or maybe, just maybe we are sharing a few moments together as you finish your day, and are choosing to read my letter as a way to unwind and connect to your heart and soul, mind and body.
Whichever way we connect at that moment in time, THANK YOU -
Thank you for spending some time with me.
This letter is a bit different.
I saw the above picture and I paused. And I imagined I was walking over the bridge…
I invite you to scroll back up again and spend a moment looking at the photo…
Would you like to walk over the bridge with me?
Let’s imagine together….
I invite you to imagine that you are standing at this bridge. What would the temperature be like as you stand on this side of the bridge? What would the light be like? Would it be day or night, or dawn or dusk? What would the sky be like as you look up?
And you…What would you be wearing as you stand on this side of the bridge? What colours would be on your clothes? What material would your clothes and shoes (if you are wearing any) be made of? Reach down and touch your top. Really feel what it is made of.
And then if you reached up and touched your head…would you have anything on your head? Or maybe something in your hair?
And your hands - are you carrying anything? And if so what? Or maybe your hands bare, or maybe they are they covered in some way?
As you stand at this end of this bridge, looking over to that end of the bridge, what are you feeling? What are you thinking? What is your heart rate like?
And let us imagine some more…What is your bridge made of? In the picture it is a wooden bridge. Maybe though your actual bridge is made of something quite different. Reach out and touch it. Feel it. Smell it even.
IMAGINE…
Spend a moment imagining this bridge.
Now imagine that to cross this bridge you must first meet the Guardian of the Bridge.
An old, old guardian who has stood by this bridge for as long as Time itself. An old, old guardian that has weathered skin, clear clear eyes and a long tall staff.
What colour eyes does the Guardian have? Is the Guardian as tall as you? What special features do you see in this Guardian?
You choose to introduce yourself. You say to the Guardian that you have come in peace and that you wish to step over the bridge to the other side.
The Guardian looks deep into your eyes and sees that you do come in peace.
The Guardian then speaks to you in such a soothing healing voice that straight away you feel at ease.
"I welcome you to this Ancient Bridge.
I see you do come in peace.
I see also that beyond your peaceful words there are worries in your mind, and sorrows in your heart.
You are welcome to cross this bridge. However I require a payment.
I require one of your sorrows or anxieties, stresses or pains. For to travel over this bridge you must travel light.
Take your time.
Think about which stress or pain, sorrow or worry you would like to give me.
I will put it in this hand-woven basket and I will sing songs of peace and healing over it.
Take your time.
Consider which pain or stress, worry or sorrow you wish to give me.”
You consider this. You know what it is that you wish to put into the basket. You tell the Guardian what it is.
The Guardian then ask you to find where that pain or worry, stress or sorrow lives in your body,
“For it is from this place that you must remove it. Gently. Ever so gently.
Ever so gently you must remove it from your being and place it into my basket. “
You find where this pain or sorrow, worry or stress lives.
Then gently, ever so gently you take it out of that place in your body and you place it into the basket.
The Guardian smiles and thanks you for this incredible gift.
You then hear the Guardian sing over the basket. A song of deep healing. A song of profound resonance.
The Guardian then looks up at you and gently points to the bridge, indicating that you can now travel across.
You nod, and say thank you.
You begin to walk over the bridge.
Oh how much lighter you feel
Oh how different you walk
Oh how your breathing comes easier.
You walk to the other side of the bridge and you notice that this side is so expanded, so beautiful,
and so exquisite.
It reminds you of your most favourite natural landscape…maybe it is…
You spend time here.
This landscape fills you
It fills you so much that it might make you teary…
teary because of the majestic beauty that this landscape radiates.
Teary, because you feel free and lighter
Teary, because your heart feels so deeply and utterly at home here.
You smile.
You giggle.
You chortle.
You laugh.
You realise you can breathe out
and out
and out.
You stay here as long as you need…
exploring,
resting,
meandering,
dancing
frolicking
just
be-ing.
IMAGINE.
IMAGINE.
Eventually you see a path that leads you back to the bridge.
You approach the bridge, and you notice that there is no Guardian at this end,
so you begin to walk over the bridge.
The Guardian that you met before greets you again.
“Hello! Here is your basket.”
You look in it.
You notice that the stress or pain, hurt or worry that you put in it before has changed form.
It is no longer what it was before. What do you see now?
The Guardian speaks again to you and tells you a message. What is the message you receive?
You share a conversation together…you and the Guardian…What do you say? What do you share? What wisdom or insight, blessing or words do you hear? Know that sometimes you may hear these as a feeling or knowing or in another way that is unique to you. Trust your own abilities to receive this message.
The Guardian looks you in the eyes and in this look you feel so, so peaceful and so deeply held.
“Go now.
Go now in peace.
Take this basket with you now
Take in your heart this conversation we have shared.
You will know how to use the wisdom more fully when you step back into your world.
I will be here,
at this bridge,
when you come next this way.
Until then.
Blessed be”
You smile.
In your own way unique you say thank you.
You slowly walk off the bridge and walk into your physical reality.
You remember the words the Guardian said to you, the words that when you return to your physical realm you will understand more.
Take your time.
Feel your spirit merge gently and slowly back into your physical body.
Feel the space where that pain, worry, hurt or sorrow once lived. What does it feel like now?
Can you remember the message of the Guardian? Can you remember how you felt?
May you take this story with you
May you walk across the bridge many more times.
May you hear the Guardian sing over the basket again and again.
And each time you go, may you come back into your own reality with more wisdom, more insights and more blessings.
And may each time you choose to remember this story,
may your memory of it linger longer each time
soothing your soul,
mind and body
in many different ways.
Until we share another story together,
Blessed be,

I literally melted into this Sam! What perfect medicine it was for me and that was just reading it. I'm going to come back and do it with the voiceover as I know that will be just beautiful. I always gain so much from your wisdom and am also grateful for what I can release. The guardian was such a gentle soul that I put my complete trust in the experience. Thank you so much. xx
Beautiful journey, Sam, thank you so much! Actually it reminds me of the dream I had last night where a bridge was guarded by a big building. On the exterior wall of this guardian building hung several empty frames and a giant key. As I passed by the guardian, the vehicle I was in suddenly went almost out of control (but not quite) and I flew over the bridge and then regained control of the vehicle. I feel like there is something so synchronous about my having had that dream last night and then reading your post here this morning. Guardians and bridges are the theme today!
