Welcome to Soft. Simple. Still, a place where like when gentle butterflies land upon your hand,
soft words will land in your heart for healing, healing, stillness and simplicity.
A special welcome to you if you are new here.
If you regularly share a cuppa with me here in this space,
know that I have already put the kettle on for you.
Hello dear one,
Here are some flowers
Just to say,
I’m thinking of you.
I feel that it is important to reach out when I think of someone
reach out if I have some kindness to share
reach out if I have some compassion to offer.
There was one time, about 10 years ago, or maybe even longer, that someone popped into my consciousness a lot over a very short period of time. Amanda was a Mumma like me. While she had a toddler and a new baby, I had twin toddlers. We would bump into each other at the shops, or down the local beach, or even just in the street.
This one period, her lovely energy popped into my consciousness a lot.
I unfortunately disregarded it. People do pop into my consciousness a lot. Sometimes just a fleeting visit. Sometimes persistently.
Amanda’s energy was persistent.
I didn’t reach out to her though.
I was too busy.
I had my babies to care for.
I was in my own little world.
A few days afterwards,
I heard she had died.
When I think of someone now,
When someone pops into my consciousness
When someone comes into my dreaming space
I try to make a point of reaching out to say hi
and asking HOW ARE YOU?
SO, HI!
HOW ARE YOU?
Really and truly,
How
are
you?
Please do write me a little note below sharing how you have been,
sharing what made you smile today
or what made you sad?
or what are you working on
or what have you done that you are proud of?
It would be lovely to connect with you.
Did you know that last Sunday was the 40th consecutive meditation podcast that I have recorded?
THAT IS SOMETHING THAT I AM REALLY PROUD OF.
40 meditations
40 consecutive weeks
40 self healing podcasts for you to enjoy.
I am really enjoying sharing my gifts with you in this way.
I am really enjoying knowing that for 20 minutes or so each week I am holding sacred space for you to gently breathe out.
I am really enjoying knowing that for those moments in time I am creating a soft, simple, still space for you to come home,
home to the innate wisdom that lives within.
I know that sometimes life just gets away with you/me/us and we forget to take time for ourselves.
I invite you to
come and choose a meditation
choose by looking at the photos
choose by reading through the little blurbs
choose by reading the titles.
You can find all of my meditations - known as Meditations with Sam either here or on Apple Podcast.
And if you are a regular Meditations with Sam listener
Do you have a favourite? Which one would that be?
Has there been a theme that you have enjoyed more than others?
Has there been any meditation you have listened to more than once, simply because it has gifted your heart and soul with something special?
This week
May you share with someone something that you are proud of
May you reach out to those folk who whisper in your ear, in your dreaming, in your heart
and may you take the time you need to REST and recuperate.
Until next Sunday eve when I will record another mediation,
Blessed be,
My name is Sam. I am a Healer - a Gardener and Storyteller of the Soul. I weave earth based wisdom into simple living and self healing, for you now, and for the 7th generation to come. Welcome to my little corner of the world.

Sam, 40 meditations, WOW! I have not listened to them all, but the ones I have engaged with have been very deep, grounding and opening, all at the same time! As to how I am, thanks for asking. What a share about your friend, so poignant. Reminding me how interconnected we are. And to listen more with the heart and body than the mind. Back to how I am... I pause... to really check in... I just came back from a walk, so I'm invigorated. Spring is in the air! And I'm also feeling grief. I find myself saying a lot lately that I just can't pin down how I am to just one thing. I feel a lot right now, and it's moving around in my system. Sam, how are you dear friend?
