I do all of these... and... working in the garden helps too.

Putting on soft music and gently dancing to it.

Sitting in the dark with candles lit.

Creating mandalas.

Standing in front of my altar and doing something I call truth speak. Which is speaking out loud, slowly and with intention what is moving in me.

I really resonate to your list...and really like the Truth Speak in front of your altar. I may take on that lovely practice too.

I feel for your nervous system as I too heard about your election. I went to bed last night saying "I am sorry. I am so sorry." To whom I do not know. Yet I am sorry for the pain, for the heartache, for the lies, for the troubles, for everything.

Your ways to calm your nervous system are simiar to mine Sam, especially going out in nature and reading a book. As I can hear your voice saying them, it's added an extra layer of calm. Thank you x
